Monday - Friday from 4-7pm you get a free pizza with the purchase of any two adult drinks - they also have $1 Martinis or Manhattans with any 3 course meal. For 20 years they have served traditional Northern Italian cuisine with friendly service at a great price. Their menu is set up in a "pre fixe" style offering three different prices for two courses, three courses, or four courses - each under $50. The food is incredible, no matter what you choose, I personally love their Italian Wedding Soup and any of the pizzas! The bar is always busy (with GREAT bartenders.. say "Hi" to Dan when you go in!) and the restaurant is surprisingly large and accommodates large parties easily - Reservations are recommended! Joe DiMaggio's Italian Chophouse North Beach | Italian Chophouse I have five words for you...ALL DAY SUNDAY HAPPY HOUR... that's right, there is a place in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood that has a happy hour all day long on Sunday and it also happens to be an amazing homage to one of the greatest baseball players of all time.. Joe DiMaggio. This Italian Chophouse is a great place to come for cocktails and stay for great Italian food or your favorite steak. The space is huge so it can accommodate large parties with ease and they even have outdoor tables for those warm San Francisco days and evenings... which are great for people watching too! It is quaint and intimate yet the place to be seen on a Friday or Saturday night. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is AMAZING and the atmosphere is warm! They have an open kitchen where you can see everything being prepared, a second floor with low ceilings that is PERFECT for a romantic date or a large party and did I mention that the food is INCREDIBLE? The owners are a husband and wife team with a young, talented chef in the back and a very knowledgeable sommelier to guide you through your wine/meal paring. The room is warm with amber and adorned with old photos of the Jazz era of the Fillmore. The bar is always jammin' with live jazz in the lounge on weekends and best of all- the kitchen serves till 1am. My dad and I stumbled upon this restaurant when my dad moved into the Sunset district. We were so impressed with the quality of the sushi and the portions and the service, we had to share it with the world. Located on the L Taraval MUNI line, Ninki is easy to get to, but also easy to pass by if you didn't know how good the sushi really is! There are no bells or whistles telling you to stop in, but the neighborhood locals know.. that this is THE place to be for great sushi! The service is one of a kind, they remember your name and your face and always have a little treat for you after you sit down. I highly recommend coming out to this little gem of a neighborhood favorite and have some of the best sushi in the city! There isn't a thing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend- everything is worth a try! Sitting outside at the Bell Tower is a must on a sunny afternoon, the people watching is great and the Sunday brunch is even better. The Bell Tower is also one of the best "happy hours" in the city. "Might be a little like a sports bar but you wish that it was your local bar. Food is surprisingly good and reasonable priced for the city. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful." View Map Frankie's Bohemian Cafe Western Addition | Czech/American In a neighborhood that has a lot of great food- Frankie's stands out! The burgers are FANTASTIC, the beers are HUGE and the traditional menu is definitely worth trying!! I have never been let down by the food or the quantity- some of these plates are big enough for two! I recommend Frankie's Bohemian Cafe over and over again! "This Czech-American corner cafe is a busy western addition spot. With its friendly vibe and eclectic decor--blood-red walls and a blue star-studded ceiling--it's no wonder it's always packed. The eclectic menu features Americanized offerings such as pasta, burgers and salads.
