1300 on Fillmore Fillmore District | Upscale Southern Food "Don’t miss the pork belly or the lamb burgers." Chef Mark Danziger. And I would listen to him! He happens to be the Sous Chef of this wonderful restaurant 1300 on Fillmore. Located in the heart of the FIllmore Jazz District the ambiance sets the mood for a relaxing, sultry night the second you step in the door. The room is warm with amber and adorned with old photos of the Jazz era of the Fillmore. The bar is always poppin' and the bartenders know what they are doing- as they are some of the best in the city- especially Dan! There is live jazz in the lounge on weekends and best of all- the kitchen serves till 1am. The food is unlike any other- it's good ol' Southern home cooking with a California flare for detail and creativity. I LOVE this restaurant! Brunch: Sunday 10:30am - 2:30pm Market/Deco Ghetto | Mediterranean/California Cuisine This is one of the few restaurants in San Francisco that is full on a daily and nightly basis- and rightly should be! There isn't a thing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend- everything is worth a try! "No restaurant captures the pulse of the city better -- politicians, celebrities, the trans-gendered, artists and executives all find common ground at this classic place that won the James Beard award for Outstanding Restaurant and won Rodgers the Outstanding Chef honor." Authentic Parisian bistro serving classic French cuisine paired with an international wine list. Live Jazz on weekends and charming outdoor seating creates a dynamic ambiance. Mission District | Peruvian A family owned Peruvian restaurant with a "Nuevo Latino" flare. Chef Martin Castillo, his mother, two brothers, sister & brother-in-law all take part in serving San Francisco some of the best and freshest Peruvian dishes. The ceviches are sought after and the steak has been written up in food reviews for the past 4 years. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, while the service is professional and attentive. I have been here 3 times and have never been let down. Lower Nob Hill/Stockton Tunnel | Raw Bar "Brothers Mike and Tim Selvera have turned a cramped space above the Stockton Tunnel into the city's best raw bar. While the seafood menu is limited, each dish is exquisite: delicate crudo, strikingly fresh oysters, a spectacular lobster salad. One hot special is offered nightly in addition to seared scallops, steamed mussels and thick, rich chowder. There's no dessert beyond a cheese plate and truffles. The downstairs consists of two zinc eating bars where diners can watch the chefs; with more tables upstairs in an intimate, low-ceilinged dining room overlooking Bush." Michael Bauer, food critic. Oola features organic meats produce, artisan cheeses wines, a friendly knowledgeable staff with passion for good service food." oola-sf.com Italian | Mission District "Since it opened in 1998, Delfina has set the standard for casual Italian food in the Bay Area." This cozy Mission District favorite serves up authentic, flavorful Italian food at a very reasonable price, with a warm, comfortable atmosphere to go along with it. With press and praise coming from local food critics & even national recognition, this gem is not to be passed up! 3621 18th St. Fisherman's Wharf | Seafood Traditional seafood with a contemporary twist, fine dining on Fisherman's Wharf since 1887. Live lobster, crab and abalone, along with quality steaks and chops. Financial District | Steak House Since 1928. Real Martinis, Real Steaks, Real San Francisco. Cow Hollow | American Cuisine. Sitting outside at the Bell Tower is a must on a sunny afternoon, the people watching is great and the Sunday brunch is even better. The Bell Tower is also one of the best "happy hours" in the city.. Daily 11am-2am. 1900 Polk Street Western Addition | Czech/American "This Czech-American corner cafe is a busy western addition spot. With its friendly vibe and eclectic decor--blood-red walls and a blue star-studded ceiling--it's no wonder it's always packed. The eclectic menu features Americanized offerings such as pasta, burgers and salads. But the most popular dish is brambory, a classic Czech dish made with shredded potato and zucchini and then formed into a crisp, 10-inch pancake. And while the burgers here seem to have a cult following, people also come back for the generous 22oz pints." CitySearch My side note: In a neighborhood that has a lot of great food- Frankie's stands out! The burgers are FANTASTIC, the beers are HUGE and the traditional menu is definitely worth trying!! I have never been let down by the food or the quantity- some of these plates are big enough for two! I recommend Frankie's Bohemian Cafe over and over again! Daily 11:30am-12am 1862 Divisadero St Russian Hill | Northern Italian Cuisine Tucked into a quiet street in San Francisco’s Russian Hill district, Ristorante Milano is a long-time neighborhood favorite serving authentic northern Italian dishes in warm atmosphere. Owner and executive chef Aldo Blasi was born and raised in Rome, where his grandfather owned a restaurant on the Roman Forum. He brings his appreciation for quality, fresh ingredients to his simple, robust meals and the service is always attentive in this charming restaurant. In these neighborhood surroundings you'll warm to the hearty food and simple decor. San Francisco Chronicle Mon-Thu : 5:30-10 1448 Pacific St Marina | Steak House Bobo’s is a stylish twist on the traditional steakhouse. Chef Andrea Froncillo has created a delectable menu that blends steak, crab, Asian-Italian fusion and comfort food. The stars of the menu are "the steak" and "the crab." Iron skillet-roasted mussels, shrimp and crab are the co-stars. The stage is set for a perfect evening of entertainment and feasting with friends.There is complimentary Valet Parking also. They have a great "Sunday Supper Club Menu" that is seasonal and their "Farmers Menu" is always fresh and tantalizing! Lunch Monday - Friday 11:30AM till 3 PM 290 Pacific Ave Golden Gate Park | American Emerging where Golden Gate Park meets the Pacific Ocean, the Beach Chalet is upstairs from the Golden Gate Park Visitor Center. Featuring American Bistro cooking and handcrafted, house-brewed signature ales matched by equally incredible ocean views. Lunch & Dinner Su-Th 11:30am-11pm, F-Sa until 2am, Sunday Brunch 10am-3pm.

Marina/Cow Hollow | American Cuisine This San Francisco hideaway, loved for its warm, intimate atmosphere, has been a favorite with locals and visitors alike since 1980. They have been serving up the finest quality of steak and some of the best American cuisine in the city.They don't accept credit cards or debit- so bring cash! & this isn't the best place for big parties or kids (there is no kids menu)- BUT-- you don't need a reservation and if you wanna go for a late night dinner date.... you can go to The Brazen Head because it's open for dinner until 1am! 3166 Buchanan Street Western Addition | California/Mediterranean Nopa is a San Francisco gathering place for locals, serving urban rustic food and specializing in organic wood-fired cuisine. If you don't made a reservation, they have a large community table and bar that serves a full menu which are available on a first come first served basis. They do offer reservations a month out; so be sure to secure one ahead of time or risk facing a long wait. Daily 6:00pm- 1:00am 560 Divisadero Pacific Heights | Greek Cuisine Greek Restaurant Minerva Cafe, located in Pacific Heights district, offers you delicious, authentic Greek cuisine.The staff invites you to a traditional taste of Greek dining, dancing and culture nightly! This restaurant is great for large parties and is family friendly! Lunch & Dinner 1750 Divisidero St. (Beer House) Cow Hollow | Asian Fusion For hundreds of years in the bustling cities and fragrant harbors of Asia, a favorite and familiar place to savor distinctive local dishes has been the side street beer house, or pejiu wu.
