Spectator Sports of the Bay AreaI love watching sports! I owe that to my dad! He raised me watchin football, baseball, a little college basketball and was kind enough to teach me about what I was watchin! I was there! I cheered!
The San Francisco Giants Stadium, AT&T Park has been noted as the most beautiful stadium in the US! And it really is! "It's hard to say what's best about [AT&T] Park, except that it is San Francisco. The view from the worst seats in the house still gives you a view of the Bay Bridge and the marina. As great as Camden Yards, Turner Field, The Jake and Coors Field are, this is the best fan's ballpark because it was conceived, built and paid for by Giants owner Peter Magowan, a legitimate baseball fan." --Columnist Peter Gammons The home of the San Francisco 49ers Monster Park will always be known as Candlestick Park to me and many locals! (It's located on Candlestick Point off the 101) Whether you're a fan or not- Faithful City is a MUST! Bring the kids or come with friends! It's a big, free, tail-gate party 3 hours before the game! There's food, live broadcasting, music and best of all, the Gold Rush Girls! McAfee Coliseum across the bay with the Oakland Athletics , with what I think is the BEST lookin' team in all the leagues. Not to mention one of the most giving. They have well over a dozen community programs & out-reaches and are very loved in the their city! Then there's the Oakland Raiders with their hardcore-crazy fans.. the Black Hole in Raider Nation. "I wanted sports -- preferably a sport that featured large amounts of physical violence coupled with a hint of danger in the parking lot. I was yearning for a venue where I would wear tight black pants and drink an ice-cold beer at 9 in the morning. I wanted loud Rock 'n' Roll. Sleep Deprivation. And Bar-B-Que. Let's face it: What I really wanted was an excuse to break out the spiked leather dog collar and the matching black leather thong..."--Alysse Minkoff What about those hard hittin San Jose Sharks huh?! They're great! Hockey is so much fun to watch and the Sharks really know how to put on a show! The Golden State Warriors know how to make us all proud here in the Bay Area, both back in the day and present! With 11 Hall of Famers, 2 NBA ALL-STAR players- both holding that title more than 7x & greats such as Wilt Chamberlain, Run TMC & Alvin Attles- to current great like Matt Barnes & Baron Davis. It's always loud and proud at Warriors games, so make sure you wear the California yellow or the Golden Gate orange, I mean, you gotta go for the home team... right! Golfing your game??
